This week was one of the most exciting weeks in the history of our awesome company, Droom. We partnered with the awesome folks at Uber to bring Supercars on demand in Delhi NCR. If you haven’t heard about it yet (please get out of that rock you’ve been living under!), we created quite a wave this monsoon!
We set out from our office in Gurgaon, armed with loads of Droom merchandise and a convoy of supercars – quite a few gaping eyes followed us everywhere! At 1 pm sharp, we started receiving requests from all over Delhi. The phone was constantly buzzing – demand was at an all-time high. We almost couldn’t believe it – from 230bhp to 450bhp, from sexy coupes to hulking beasts – we had it all.
The best part? Pulling up to a customer and seeing the excitement in their eyes as their ride pulled up! The giddy excitement and selfies after made for an incredibly cool day! We even met a baby who chilled in a convertible like a boss (he’s going to be a heart-stealer when he grows up!). From CP to Khan to Noida to Rajouri Garden to Hauz Khaz to Gurgaon – we met some amazing people, who got the ride of their lives. No better way to beat the hump day blues, really!
We wrapped up a long, exhausting day at work by celebrating and sharing the stories of the day with each other over drinks – we felt a little like celebrities ourselves. Days like these – No place I’d rather work at!
