Hailing from a middle-class family in Delhi, Om Prakash always wanted to get into business and make it big. Automobiles always fascinated him, and he wanted to set up something where this interest of his could be utilized. Just after graduation, he decided to follow his passion for automobiles full time. Starting with a small shop in 1975, Om Prakash used to repair used vehicles that were eventually offered to potential buyers. The results were encouraging but the biggest challenge during that time was to convince people to purchase a pre-owned vehicle due to a low trust market and lack of true information available about the vehicle. By giving regular advertisements in newspapers, Om Prakash continued to grow his business slowly.
Now, his sons are taking care of his business and he accompanies them occasionally by attending the customers. With a lot of customers now researching for vehicles online, he and his sons got associated with Droom in 2016, referred to by a close friend. Droom is India’s largest online marketplace for buying and selling used vehicles. After meeting the Droom Team, Om Prakash was on-boarded as a registered pro-seller on Droom. Currently, they offer a variety of scooters and motorcycles.
