Hyundai recently launched a facelift version of the grand i 10 which gets some additional features like, ABS, Android Auto, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, LED DRLs and a new 1.2-litre diesel engine which is more powerful than the previous 1.1-litre engine that the old model had. The company claims a fuel mileage of 19.77 kmpl and 24.95 kmpl for the petrol and diesel variant respectively. The car can hit a top speed of around 145kmph. The Hyundai grand i10 facelift version comes at a price of ₹ 4.74 lakh and goes up to ₹ 7.50 lakh, that makes it the best price under 8 lakhs.

3. Tata Tiago

The Tata Tiago has proved to be a good bet for the company in the 8 lakh segment. The Tiago was the first hatchback that came after the boring designed Indica. The car is powered by 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.05-litre diesel engine. Although the car lacks spacious legroom the car is still the best in the sub 8 lakh category as it offers alloy wheels, premium fabric interior, multi-functional steering wheel. Due to its compact size, the car is easy to maneuver in heavy traffic. The price of the car starts at ₹ 3.35 lakh to ₹ 6 lakh for the top model (ex-showroom, Delhi).

4. Honda Amaze

The new Honda Amaze is part of the company’s newly adopted design and styling language. The car is available with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The car also features a CVT transmission which makes up for lack of LED headlamps or even projector headlamps. Despite that, the Amaze has a good road presence to its design and styling of the brand.
