Bajaj CT 100

First in the list is the Bajaj CT 100, which, at a starting price of Rs 30,990 (Ex-showroom), is the cheapest motorcycle one can own in the country. It carries a descent 99.27cc motor at its heart that generates a maximum power figure of 8 bhp at 7,500 rpm while churning out a peak torque of 8.05 Nm at 4,500 rpm. The top speed is limited to 90 kmph. The motor is mated with a 4-speed gearbox. Being an entry-level commuter motorcycle, the Bajaj CT 100 is designed to cater to the needs of the rural customers.

TVS Sport

The entry-level commuter motorcycle from the house of TVS is on the second spot when it comes to affordability. It comes with a starting price of Rs 36,880 (Ex-showroom). The bike is equipped with a 99.8cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke mill that is capable of churning out a fuel mileage of 95 kmpl, which is a remarkable figure and enough to impress an Indian middle-class customer. The power figure stands at 7.3 bhp at 7500 rpm while the peak torque generated by the bike is 7.5 Nm at 5000 rpm. The Sport is available in three variants and the top-end trim gets features like electric start and alloy wheels.

Hero HF Dawn

The Hero Dawn comes next in the line and it is the base-level model of the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer. The bike does not offer a lot of features, however, it serves the purpose of a comfortable ride very well. With its impressive fuel economy figure of 82.9 kmpl and an affordable price tag of Rs. 39,470 (Ex-showroom), the Hero Dawn is a smart choice for the middle-class motorcycle buyers. Powering the bike is a 97.2cc mill that delivers 7.8 PS of maximum power at 7500 rpm and 8.04 Nm of peak torque at 4500 rpm.

Hero HF Deluxe

Here we have one more product from our very own homegrown automaker Hero, the Hero HF Deluxe. Based on the popular CD-Series, the bike comes fitted with a 97.2cc engine that can propel it up to a top speed of 85 kmph. The HF Deluxe comes with five colour options and has five variants to offer. The prices start at Rs 42,400 (Ex-showroom). Another factor that makes it very popular among the semi-urban buyers is its claimed fuel efficiency figure that stands at 82.9 kmpl.
