The compact sedan from the house of Maruti Suzuki is powered by either the 1248cc DDiS diesel engine or the 1197cc, K-series VVT petrol engine. The oil-burner generates a maximum power of 75bhp and churns out a peak torque of 190Nm while the petrol version produces 85bhp of maximum power and 115Nm of peak torque. Mated with both the petrol and diesel engines is a five-speed manual gearbox, however, the automatic variants get a four-speed automatic transmission. Moreover, the petrol motor reaches the 100 kmph mark in 13.8 seconds giving a top speed of 169 kmph. On the other hand, the diesel mill can do 0-100 km in 14.9 seconds while delivering a top speed of 162 kmph.
It carries a contemporary design on the outside with sharp features. It gets a new bumper design, headlamps with a black tinge while the fog lamps have chrome accents around it.
